Just over 3 years ago, I was sitting in a small house on some property outside of Norman, Oklahoma.
It was a beautiful place.
You couldn't even see another house because of all of the trees.
I was working on this project... Let's call it Project101.
I hadn't even told one person about this project.
Aside from my immediate family and one programmer, nobody in the world knew about Project101.
Then, Feburuary 14th, 2005, the Project launched.
I thought to myself, "I have to be careful and not make any mistakes!"
Fast Forward one year...
The Project had started with 2 packages, and things were going well, however, by this time I felt Project101 needed something.
I thought to myself, "I have to be careful and not make any mistakes!"
Then one day, out of the blue, a brainstorm "Let's add a new package!"
Fast Forward six months...
Hence, the ProPak was born!
Project101 really started moving then.
I thought to myself, "I have to be careful and not make any mistakes!"
Then, after careful analysis, I reasoned that we needed to add some levels of achievement.
I thought to myself, "I have to be careful and not make any mistakes!"
Appropriately, Project101 added the Director, Executive Director (ED) and Chief Executive Director (CED) positions.
Oops... small mistake... or shall we say, a slight miscalculation.
Thinking there would be MAYBE 20-30 Executive Directors in the first year... and maybe 10 or so CED's.
Hmmm, let's see, how about more like 1,200 and 75 respectively.
I thought to myself, "I have to be MORE careful and not make any mistakes!"
Fast Forward 18 months...
Ok, it's time for a convention!
I thought to myself, "I have to be careful and not make any mistakes!"
Thinking...
Planning...
Location...
Announcement...
Oops...
I am by no way trying to make light of the situation of postponing of the convention.
Once we announced it, we quickly found out it was just "the wrong place at the wrong time".
We are now re-thinking...
Re-planning...
Re-locating...
And will soon be re-announcing the alternative plan.
Please accept my sincere apology.
I try to always be careful and not make any mistakes.
My only desire is that we have the best of everything for the En101 members, and I will do my best to see to it that whatever is decided for the future is the best.
Stay tuned for updated information.
Best Regards,
Richard McCullough En101 Founder & CEO
